Day 5

Another working day.

First meal: Jazzed up TDins

TDins with some garlic, one mushroom and a tablespoon or so of frozen peas and half a tsp of Bovril. It came out pretty decent, actually. The tiny bits of garlic, mushroom and peas give the meal more body and taste. I have to say the addition of peas really helps this along. Must add some to SPie in future.

Drink: Green tea

Am leaving my mint tea for later, so starting with some green tea while working.

Second meal: Jazzed up SPie

Managed to cook up the SPie during break. Now, you may be wondering why I'm eating so many SPies and TDins when they aren't my favourite (far from it). I figured I'll eat them almost daily to get through them faster, but will throw in some of the other meals/shakes/bars to switch things up every now and then. The usual couple cloves of garlic and roughly a tablespoon or so of frozen peas + half tsp of Bovril, sprinkling of black pepper and tabasco sauce. It's decent this way, so yeah. Can't say I enjoy the meals, but as long as I don't go hungry, I'm fine. However, it seems that the SPie is the only meal that gives me indigestion on a regular basis. That's REALLY not fun.

Drink: Mint tea

Hoping this would help with the indigestion. Gawddammit SPie... really??? Urghhhh...

Third Meal: Exante's Indian-style Daal with rice and lentils (Future ref: daal)

This was actually pretty decent taste-wise, interesting texture as well, with the rice and lentils. Went down pretty well by itself, although I did pause halfway to add a dash of pepper and tabasco sauce. Easy and simple. Let's hope the rice doesn't give me indigestion.

Thoughts:

As long as I eat when I'm hungry and not think about food, I am doing fairly well on this programme, I must say. Much better than all my previous failed attempts. I don't think it's due to an overwhelming use of willpower, more like the meals keep me full so I don't feel hungry or have cravings, for most part. Though I must say I have a sudden craving for spicy tapioca chips... must resist...
