Day 3

Woke up hungry, but I also have an appointment, so something quick.

First meal: Exante's Cheese and Bacon Breakfast Eggs (Future ref: CBBEggs)

Surprisingly quick to cook this, I almost burned this even on medium heat on the stove. Also oddly enough, while adding water and stirring, I can smell the cheese and bacon, but once I'm cooking it, for some reason, the smell reminds me of maple syrup pancakes. Taste-wise, it's pretty decent. I only added a sprinkling of black pepper and tabasco sauce, but it could go without, and is also a good base for adding other things like mushrooms or tomatoes... but no time for that today. The texture is somewhat pancakey rather than eggy, but you can taste the egg, though the bacon and cheese are more... subtle? Still, not a bad dish. I'd rather eat 50 of these than SPie or TDins but too late now.

I have to applaud the eggs, they lasted almost six hours before I needed to bestir myself to make my next meal. I believe that lasted longer than any of the previous meals I could think of.

Second meal: Exante's Pizza Kit (Future ref: pizza)

Another surprise! The dough smelled herb-y, which was pleasant, and the tomato sauce thickened nicely and looked like it had bits of meat in it. I took the dough out halfway, spread the sauce on top, added a couple of sliced mushroom, some cherry tomatoes and a good sprinkling of lemon thyme. It came out pretty good, I must say. Next time, I'll skip the tomatoes and just use garlic and one mushroom... it was difficult to fit two button mushrooms on the pizza. It probably would've tasted just fine with just the dough and sauce, but the mushrooms gave it a nice texture. Spread thinly, the dough cooked easily though the middle was a little soft, I think probably because I added the tomato sauce a little early, but overall, a satisfyingly good meal. Thumbs up!

Since the day have gone so well, I'm pondering finishing with the laksa soup. I hope it doesn't disappoint, because I've tasted good instant laksa soup before and I am hoping this will end the day on a decent note.

Snack: 1/2 DChocB

After my last meal, I got the craving for something sweet, so I decided to finish the last half of the DChocB I opened yesterday. I wasn't hungry, honestly, but I just somehow wanted something sweet-ish. Am glad that there are both sweet and savoury food in this programme, as I prefer to eat savoury meals rather than unending sweet shakes, but there are times when I feel like something sweet and there are bars to fulfill that craving. Yaay!

Drink: 1 tsp Bovril + hot water
It occurred to me that I haven't partaken in my daily allowance of Marmite/Bovril so one little bowl of Bovril goodness for me today. I'm not sure if I used the full 1 tsp as it tasted a little on the watery side, but I didn't use the proper measuring spoon, so oh well. Anyway, that was delightful.

Third meal: Exante's Laksa soup (Future ref: laksa)
Have decided against having the laksa for now unless I get really hangry my tummy actually rumbled while I was typing this. -_- Traitorous tummy. Anyway, this smelled better than it tasted, sadly, but it wasn't horribly bad. Went down better with a dash of black pepper and tabasco sauce.

Thoughts:
Altogether an awesome day food-wise, very happy with the eggs and pizza. Of course, I'll have to eat more SPie and TDins because I have way more packets of those, but at least I can add some stuff to make them a wee bit better. The laksa wasn't great but it wasn't horrible either, so 2 out of 3 is pretty good. I am aware I'm closer to 800 than 600 calories yesterday and today due to the DChocB split on both days, but oh well. Hopefully this won't ruin my descent into ketosis.
